Janette Manrara addresses fan concerns that Aljaz Skorjanec is leaving Strictly

On today’s Zoe Ball Breakfast show (Tuesday 16 November), It Takes Too host Janette Manrara confirmed that her husband Aljaz Skorjanec will not be leaving Strictly Come Dancing.

Fans of the show were concerned that Aljaz might be stepping down as a Strictly pro after the speech he made following his and Sara Davies’ elimination.

Zoe said: "So heart-breaking saying goodbye to them on the show …. we were concerned it sounded like Aljaz was giving a goodbye speech, but he is not leaving is he, no?"

But Janette quickly revealed: "He is not leaving! I’m going to like put an end to the rumours, it’s not happening."

Aljaz is the longest serving male in the professional dancer roster and has been fan favourite since joining the show in 2013. So Strictly fans can breathe a huge sigh of relief.

Janette continued: "He’s too in love with the show, he’s too in love with the show. I think he was just so happy with Sara and they just created such an amazing bond, and amazing friendship.

"He fell in love going up to Newcastle and being with her family and meeting everybody up there, up north. So I think he was just gutted that the series ended for him.
