Kara Tointon reveals she's pregnant with second child two years after having son Frey

KARA Tointon has revealed she ispregnant with her second child almost two years after welcoming son Frey.

The former EastEnders actress, 37, shared the happy news with Hello! Magazine, telling the publication her baby joy with fiance Marius Jensen had happened "quicker than we had expected".

She said: "I think this year has brought so many things in different ways. At the beginning of the year I was due to start a play, and now I am at home in a little cocoon and pregnant."

Kara is already six months pregnant and is expecting another boy with Marius.

She said: "We really wanted a sibling for Frey. So we said: 'If it happens, it happens, let's go with the flow.'

"And it happened much quicker than we expected."

As for the couple's marriage plans, Kara admitted: "It keeps getting put on hold. But I like to do things when I'm in a place to enjoy it, so if you can't do that now, then why rush?"

"It will be much nicer to get married in a celebratory way when we can enjoy it with family."

Kara – who played Dawn Swann in EastEnders from 2005-2009 – previously told OK! Magazine of her hopes to expand her family.

She said: "'I would really love to have more. Because I am so close to my sister, I want Frey to have that as well.

"So we've got to fit that in somewhere! I think this year we have all put into perspective what's important to us."

Kara and Marius made their debut as a couple at the Wimbledon tennis tournament in 2017.

The actress had previously dated her Strictly Come Dancing pro partner Artem Chigvintsev after they won the 2010 series.

Before that she dated her EastEnders co-star Joe Swash.
