Lorraine Kelly gets the giggles after she tells Bonnie Langford how 'bad' Cats was – despite her niece being in it

LORRAINE Kelly got the giggles today after she told Bonnie Langford how "bad" the Cats film was – despite her niece being in it.

The ex-EastEnders star looked awkward as the much-loved chat host made the slip-up while talking about the A-lister movie starring Taylor Swift and James Corden.

Despite an incredible cast – including Bonnie's niece Zizi Strallen – Cats was written off as a mega-flop.

Actress Bonnie joined the original cast of Cats on stage as Rumpleteaser back in 1981.

Lorraine said today: "I have to say watching that tiny little clip of your production of Cats and it looks a heck of a lot better than the film.

"Crikey, wasn't that a bad one?"

Bonnie pulled a face as Lorraine spoke, before replying: "I have to be positive because my niece was in it.

"In fact I think that might be her on the left," after spotting a shot from the film had been put up on the screen.

Lorraine burst out laughing before insisting: "Can I say she was brilliant… but the rest of it was not so good.

"But she was fabulous!"

The moment amused viewers on Twitter, but Bonnie brushed past the exchange and added: "You know what, if it means people will go and see the show afterwards then I'm absolutely for it.

"We need to keep theatre going so we can all be back together."
