Love Island fix row as Gemma and Luca are safe in public vote despite bullying backlash | The Sun

LOVE Island has been embroiled in another fix row after Gemma Owen and Luca Bish were saved in the public vote despite his bullying backlash.

The pair are one of the four remaining couples heading in to tonight's final.

It comes after the remaining Islanders were asked to vote for two couples that they thought were least compatible on Friday night.

Everyone apart from Dami Hope, 26, Indiyah Polack, 22, were at risk of leaving the villa because they received a vote, but Sunday evening's instalment of the programme sawPaige Thorne, 24, and Adam Collard, 26, get the boot.

However fans were left scratching their heads over how Gemma Owen, 19, and Luca Bish, 23, were saved because of the bullying claims and OfCom complaints linked to the fish monger.

Many took to Twitter to share their confusion.

One questioned: "Is this a fix? I can’t believe people are voting for Luca! #LoveIsland."

A second added: "Anyone else think the fact that Gemma and Luca are saved means this is a blatant fix? No one here likes Luca and Twitter is full of the majority of voters."

A third chimed in: "Love Gemma, despise Luca. Who is actually saving them each week or is it a fix to keep it controversial?"

"it is a fix for Gemma & Lucca to be in the final as she is daughter of a ex football player" a fourth chimed in.

A fifth tweeted: "I swear if Gemma and Luca win its some sort of paid fix/deal, because everyone is tired of Luca’s manipulative/hypocritical/bullying ways, even his own parents recognised how out of order hes been, yet Gemma and Luca are constantly safe despite public backlash? #LoveIsland."

Some think it's because Gemma is the daughter of footballer Michael Owen, while others are just very confused they're in the final because of Luca's behaviour.

Many think that Luca should have gone yesterday, not Paige and Adam.

The Sun have contacted ITV for comment.

Luca's behaviour during time time in the villa has come under fire by fans.

Last week they shared their outrage after Luca told Gemma "I expect you to behave".

The tatted hunk made the remark to his other half after they rowed over her dancing for the boys in the Mile High challenge.

While trying to patch things up on the terrace, he said: "We are the only couple in there who haven't made our relationshoip, that has never put a label on it.

"But I still expect you to behave like we have.

"Do I want to see the girl I love doing that to another boy? I didn't like it, I got in a mood at it.

"Do you agree with how I felt?"

Viewers said his behaviour towards Michael Owen's daughter – following the much talked about Movie Night episodes – has raised more than a few red flags.

Over the course of the series, Love Island fans have slammed Luca Bish as showing “sickening” behaviour towards Tasha Ghouri.

Earlier this month Ofcom said it had received 3,617 complaints about Love Island in the past seven days, and domestic abuse charity Women's Aid confirmed it is in talks with ITV after viewers expressed concern over "misogyny and controlling behaviour" present on the show.
