Netflix’s The Crown Series 3: Olivia Colman and Helena Bonham Carter celebrate show at world premiere – The Sun

OLIVIA Colman was suitably classy tonight in a chic black dress for The Crown season three world premiere in London.

The Oscar-winning actress, who plays Queen Elizabeth in the latest series, posed with her co-star Tobias Menzies on the red carpet at the Curzon, Mayfair.

Helena Bonham Carter was as fabulously quirky as you'd expect, wearing a gothic-tinged dress with a feathered skirt.

She looked to be having a blast as she laughed with her hands on her hips.

Gillian Anderson cut a a more reserved figure in a navy frock with a luxurious cape to keep her warm.

Erin Doherty brought a splash of colour in a red dress with a sheer bodice, while Harry Treadaway looked dapper in a navy suit.

Loose Women star Denise Welch was thrilled to walk the runway, showing off her invite to the cameras.

While the show has celeb fans aplenty, the Royals themselves are less keen on the Netflix series.

Colman recently revealed Prince William swerves watching it.

Her confirmation came after The Sun told how the Royal Households have become deeply paranoid about the series, particularly its portrayal of Prince Charles’ affair.

The Favourite star acknowledge Wills knew which part she was set to play. Olivia, 45, said: “I met Prince William at a dinner and he asked what I was doing at the moment before he added, ‘Actually, I know what you’re doing’.

“I was so excited and asked, ‘Have you watched it?’ His answer was a firm, ‘No’.”

The Royals are so flustered by The Crown that staff who work for Charles restricted invites to stars of the series, including Olivia and Helena Bonham Carter, from an event involving Charles and sons William and Harry.

But stars from other Netflix shows were asked to the April launch of Netflix series Our Planet starring Sir David Attenborough.

Meanwhile, Olivia also admitted she did nothing to prepare for her new role, other than use a movement coach.

And when asked how she celebrated winning her Best Actress Oscar for The Favourite, she said she was too drunk to remember.

She said on The Graham Norton Show: “The great thing about the Oscars is there is a bar. There are hundreds of seat fillers so almost everybody is in the bar getting bladdered.”
