Proud dad Noel Gallagher reveals his son, 10, is following in his footsteps and playing guitar

OASIS may be over for good but Noel Gallagher reckons the next generation have his musical talent after watching his son Sonny rock out at a school concert.

He said: “He’s doing good on the guitar. He rattles around on it every night.

“When I go up there to say goodnight to him I say, ‘What you playing, mate?’

“He showed me, and I genuinely did not know how to play this riff, Back In Black, which is a famous riff.

“He’s a rocker, he likes AC/DC and Queen, it’s fing great.

“I hope he hasn’t started too early so that when he gets to 18 he’s bored of it. He’s my little protege.”

On his Radio X residency, Noel talked about watching Sonny perform T. Rex’s 20th Century Boy: “I was at his school concert the other night, he did his first gig.

“I got a little knot in my stomach because I was like ‘He’s only ten’, you know what I mean?

”He had it down. He had the riff. He played a blinder.

“And I’ve never been so proud of anything or anyone in my life. It was great, it was amazing.”

And it’s not just in music where he takes after his dad.

Noel said with a laugh: “He also loves being on the football terraces and he’s into a bit of swearing and antagonising opposing supporters.

“I don’t know where he gets it from.”

Though any hope of his youngest son forming a band with his brother, just as Noel did with Liam, is out the window.

He added of older son Donovan : “His big brother is into silly fing, urban grime music.

“You go, ‘What the f*** is that? Has a spaceship landed in the back garden?’ No it’s him upstairs playing his grime.”

Beyfest at Tiffany's

BEYONCE channelled Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast At Tiffany’s as she posed with hubby Jay-Z in an ad for the jewellery firm.

As a couple with a joint value of £1billion, they are bound to have been paid an absolute fortune to star in the year-long campaign for Tiffany & Co.

But that will pale in comparison to the £22million cost of the 128.5-carat Tiffany Diamond that Bey wore for these photos.

She is one of just a handful of A-listers down the years to have sported the stone since it was discovered in 1877, including Hepburn to promote her 1961 movie, and Lady Gaga at the 2019 Oscars.

Bey and Jay-Z will premiere a short film for the campaign, About Love, on September 15.

It will show her singing him Moon River, which Hepburn performed in the movie.

That, and all of those diamonds, is sure to put a sparkle in his eye.

Meanwhile, Beyonce’s dad and ex-manager Mathew Knowles has denied there are plans for a Destiny's Child reunion.

Fans of Bey’s old group – which also starred Kelly Rowland and and Michelle Williams – got their hopes up after an image on its social media was changed, sparking speculation about a return.

Beyonce sure doesn’t need the money.

I feel a proper Charli

CHARLI XCX has confessed to Mark Ronson she was once kicked out of a club for chucking ice at him.

The embarrassed Boys singer was interviewing the producer and DJ when she told him: “I got thrown out of one of your shows once because I was being really immature and stupid.

“It was a DJ set that you were doing with Kevin Parker in Brooklyn and I was throwing ice at you guys.

“I just thought that was really funny, which obviously it’s really not. It’s just annoying. I had a bucket of ice under my arm.

Charli was talking to Mark on her Best Song Ever podcast.

She added: “I think you were like, ‘That’s annoying but she’s fine.’ Kevin was like, ‘Get her out! Who is she?’”

I don’t blame him.

Sweet ‘n’ sour

OLIVIA RODRIGO is set to return to No1 this Friday with her debut album Sour after it was released on vinyl.

She is currently ahead of Lorde, whose third album Solar Power is set to debut at No2.

Meanwhile, Jake Bugg is at No3 with his fifth album, Saturday Night, Sunday Morning.

Cardi’s red-dy to have a party

BEING heavily pregnant didn’t stop Cardi B hopping up on stage with her husband Offset’s group Migos.

She wore this red wig to perform at the Hot 97 Summer Jam in New Jersey, in the US, while fellow rapper Saweetie wore this red bra top for her set.

Cardi announced in June that she is pregnant with the couple’s second child.

After Sunday’s show she told fans on Instagram Live: “Today I got to have some fun with my friends and my hubby-hub while he’s in town. I had a good time.

“But guys guess what? I gained 23lbs. Today I weighed myself. Do you know how much I weighed? 162lbs.”

She looks great to me.

Kelly out of Leeds

MACHINE Gun Kelly has been forced to pull out of Reading and Leeds Festival this weekend after failing to get around lockdown restrictions to fly to the UK from LA.

Blossoms have been brought in to replace the rapper.

Organisers blamed “restrictions and logistics” for his no-show.

The disappointment comes a month after Queens of the Stone Age were forced to cancel their headline set as they were unable to travel.

I’m still looking forward to the weekend.

Free guy lords it

JODIE COMER and Ryan Reynolds' comedy Free Guy is No1 at the UK movies box office for a second week, beating competition from new film People Just Do Nothing: Big In Japan.

It made £2.26million over the weekend, taking its total to £7.2million, while The Paw Patrol Movie was second with takings of £1million from Friday to Sunday

The Suicide Squad dropped 39 per cent on its fourth week to make £653,885, at No3, while Jack Whitehall's Jungle Cruise took £652,000.

Meanwhile, the People Just Do Nothing feature film, based on the BBC mockumentary series, had the highest opening of the weekend by banking £553,261 and landing at No5.
