'RHOC' Recap: Gina Kirschenheiter Reluctantly Reveals the Real Reason Behind Her Divorce from Matt

“I can’t talk about this! I wanna leave. F–k!” she mumbles to herself as she storms out of the room, only to return moments later. “Oh, f–k. Alright. I’m just gonna do it.”

Tuesday’s "Real Housewives of Orange County" was a difficult one for Gina Kirschenheiter, as she struggled to reveal the real reason behind her divorce from her husband, Matt Kirschenheiter.

Gina went over to Emily Simpson’s house to chat about Emily’s marital issues (she was sad her husband, Shane Simpson, wasn’t thrilled about her wanting to perform a sexy dance for him during their 10-year anniversary trip to Las Vegas), which prompted Gina to get in her feelings. "Your problems seem so stupid right now," she said to her friend.

A few scenes prior, Gina was seen getting choked up with her parents, later telling the camera that they didn’t know everything there was to know about her divorce from Matt.

"I’m having a really bad year, Emily," Gina fessed up, before Emily said she noticed there was "something wrong" with Gina at Tamra Judge’s party last episode. (It’s important to note Gina was still dealing with the aftermath of her DUI arrest.)

"This is hard to talk about," she said, doing her best to avoid crying, but the tears were inevitable. Emily seemingly knew where the conversation was going and reminded Gina she’d always be there for her, but it was obvious that she really wanted to get something off her chest.

"Well, like, you know I’ve always alluded to things for like the past year?" she said, voice trembling. "And you’re like, ‘You never actually say it.’ ‘Cause if I don’t say it, it’s like it never happened, you know? It was before I met you…"

Interrupting herself with a big sigh, Gina blurted out, "I can’t talk about this!" She stood up and stormed out of the room, but cameras kept a close watch. "This sucks. I’m sorry. I just need a minute. I can’t talk about this! I wanna leave. F–k!" she mumbled to herself as she collected her thoughts. "Oh, f–k. Alright," she eventually blurted out, making her way back to where Emily was sitting. "I’m just gonna do it."

"You know what, Emily? It’s just really bad," Gina said. "Your problems seem so stupid right now. That’s what I’m trying to tell you. Um, with Matt, we had moved here. I think it was like four months old, and he had an affair. And I know you knew, but like we don’t really talk about it because I just honestly feel like where we were in our relationship when I met you was how I felt about my relationship."

"We tried to work through it the best we could. We’re in therapy. It opened our eyes to other problems in the relationship. And so when I filed for divorce, and then meeting everybody going forward, like for my kid’s sake, I just felt like it wasn’t necessary to share that," she continued. "And I didn’t wanna take that from my kids."

Gina tearfully told the camera, "I thought I was doing the right thing to protect my kids, and that’s all that really matters to me. I don’t want my kids to think that their father is a bad person ’cause he’s not. I don’t wanna be the reason that anyone would look at him badly. He’s not a bad person. It’s just hard."

The worst part of it all, though, is that Gina said Matt was "still seeing this woman and has been for like the past six months." She found out the day before Tamra’s party — by finding a Valentine’s Day card the woman had written him. "They think they’re in love," she blubbered.

"Finding the card felt like the day that I found out about the affair in the first place, and it brought me immediately back to that moment," Gina sobbed. "So I got really scared because I just didn’t wanna go back to that bad place that I was in when it all first happened because I can’t go back there."

Gina was a wreck but said she felt "a sense of relief, like this weight off my shoulders ’cause I’ve just been carrying it around for so long and like not able to talk to anybody about it. It does feel good at least to just say it and finally try to heal from it."

Emily was as comforting and supportive as she could possibly be, later telling the camera that she "knew all along he was having an affair."

"But Gina’s my friend, one of my dearest friends. I love her. And so, I never brought it up," she said with tears in her eyes.

Later in the episode, on their way to a girls dinner, Gina confided in Tamra what she had told Emily. Like Emily, Tamra knew.

"I had heard some rumors around town that he had cheated on her and broke up the marriage," Tamra said during a confessional. "I didn’t tell her I knew because I could tell that she didn’t wanna talk about it."

Gina was once again the center of attention at dinner, only it had nothing to do with her estranged husband.

After newcomer Braunwyn Windham-Burke and Vicki Gunvalson butted heads following the latter’s blowup with Kelly Dodd (Braunwyn sided with Kelly), Braunwyn agreed to let Shannon Beador (her new bestie) invite Vicki to their dinner.

If you recall, the reason Vicki and Kelly are feuding is because Vicki accused Kelly of being a cocaine addict last reunion. The accusation caused major issues for Kelly’s daughter, Jolie, who told her mom last episode that she was getting bullied because of it on social media. Kelly then sent Vicki a video of an animated pig calling her ugly. Although Vicki tried to apologize to Kelly at Tamra’s house, the apology fell on deaf ears.

At dinner, the topic of Vicki not always liking the newbies came up, prompting Shannon to point out, "She liked Kelly right away!"

"Yeah, how’d that work out for you?" Tamra fired back.

"I don’t have any respect for her," Vicki replied. "I would never say to anybody that I don’t like, ‘You’re ugly. You look like shit.’ She said I look like shit! I’m over it. That’s a pure bully. How would she like it if somebody said that about her daughter? I’m done being abused by her."

Shannon tried to explain that Vicki and Kelly both needed to stay away from the "low blows," but Vicki maintained she hadn’t gone below the belt with Kelly. Shannon then reminded her of the coke claims.

"I am not gonna be subjected — as a grandmother, as a mother — to be told I look like Miss Piggy and I’m ugly and I look like a piece of shit," Vicki shouted. "No! It’s not okay."

Gina asked point-blank what the problem was. That’s when Vicki stuck her foot in her mouth — again.

"Truly, you know what I think it is? Kelly knows that I know more than I’ve said," she said, shouting at an inquiring Tamra, "I’m not gonna tell you, Telephone Tamra!"

"Are you talking about the train?" Tamra asked. The room got quiet. Vicki’s face dropped. So did Shannon’s.

"We had a code of silence that none of us were gonna talk about the choo choo train," Vicki explained during a confessional. "Tamra, Shannon and I discussed it, and I said nothing good can come from this. This is all gonna be super damaging."

But back to the dinner. Gina was fired up. "You’ve said she has a coke habit, and now you’re saying you didn’t say it all. So clearly, you’re saying it’s something worse than that, which is bad!"

"Shhh! Gina! I’m not saying anything!" Vicki scolded.

"But you said that you know more than the worst thing that you said!" Gina hurled back.

Flailing her arms, Vicki shouted back, "Let’s talk about something else!"

"The Real Housewives or Orange County" airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
