With Ongina gone and a new “makeover” challenge for the queens, things are heating up on this reality competition series. Who will be sent home and who will be the secret lip-sync assassin? Here’s what you might’ve missed from the third episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race: All-Stars 5.

The queens have to makeover a hotel room for this week’s maxi-challenge
The queens head back to the Werk Room, congratulating Shea Couleé on her win, her lip-sync against Alyssa Edwards, and her $20,000. As far as her lipstick choice goes, Shea Couleé explains that Ongina was mentally checked out and that’s inexcusable.
The following day, though, Alexis brings up again that Miz Cracker threw off Ongina. How many times can Miz Cracker say she shouldn’t have said anything? Anyway, RuPaul walks in and tells the queens their challenge. In groups, the queens must design their own 5-star hotel suite.
Blair St. Clair and Mayhem are paired together and they hope that, without Miz Cracker, they can really shine. They decide to go with an expensive-themed hotel, called 24K.
Jujubee, Alexis, and India are together and Jujubee suggests an Alaska-themed hotel room. They decide instead to go with a jungle theme, naming it “The Glamazone.” Mariah, Shea, and Miz Cracker are together and they decide on a Golden Girls-themed hotel.
The ‘All-Stars 5’ queens break off into groups
When it’s time to finally start decorating, there’s a little bit of drama with the teams coming into each other’s spaces. Shea’s team gets some pink on Alexis’ green wall. Alexis draws a green “X” on one of their coveralls. That tension follows them right back into the Werk Room.
Shea and Miz Cracker are talking and Shea asks Miz Cracker about the drama from earlier. Cracker opens up a little, saying that the respect she has for Shea, Mariah, Jujubee really helps her shine. Alexis overhears and asks if Miz Cracker doesn’t have respect for her. How come her name wasn’t on that list?
Miz Cracker backtracks a little and says that she just had a good time working with her team, sweetheart. Alexis responds with a “don’t ‘sweetheart’ me.” At that point, Shea kind of steps in and says that Alexis is just trying to throw her teammate off because she’s threatened.
During the main challenge, each team has a chance to show off their hotel rooms to Michelle Visage, Ross Matthews, and the rest of the judges. The queens each crack some jokes, but with such loud personalities, contestants like Mariah and India are getting lost.
On the runway, category is ‘3 looks in 1’
The queens head to the mainstage to bring three different looks in one runway. After that, RuPaul decides that Blair St. Clair and Mayhem Miller had the best hotel room. However, for the first time literally ever, Jujubee is the winner. She’s super excited and even offers RuPaul one of her carrots. She politely declines.
When she’s getting her critiques, Miz Cracker brings up that she has a hard tie connecting with people and Alexis knows that. For Shea Couleé, though, she’s receiving a lot of poor critiques. Ross Matthews even calls her runway look “crafty.” (Unbelievable.) In a surprising twist, Shea Couleé, India Ferrah, and Mariah Paris Balenciaga are the bottom three.
After deliberating, the queens pick their lipsticks. Viewers can’t see everyone’s choice, but Alexis makes it pretty clear she’s going with the strongest competitor, Shea. It’s going to be pretty split and if the lipsync assassin wins, there’s a pretty good chance Shea could go home.
All the queens head back to the mainstage to find out who is the “lipsync assassin” Jujubee will be competing against. It’s All-Stars 4 winner, Monét X Change! The two perform to Lizzo’s song “Juice” and Monét is the winner, baby. With Monét winning the lip-sync, that means that the queen voted on by the remaining contestants is sent home. Mariah Paris Balenciaga is eliminated.
