On Wednesday’s This Morning, ITV hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford were back to present the show for their last week of the summer. The duo have been filling in for regular presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield while they take some time off for the summer. However, as they welcomed viewers back to the programme, Ruth was left in fits of laughter after Eamonn showed his wife an old photo of him on his phone.
“Stop showing me that,” Ruth laughed after the cameras returned to the studio following a segment from presenters Josie Gibson and Alison Hammond. “Hello. Thank you, Josie.”
As Eamonn questioned his wife on what was so funny, Ruth bent her head over towards the desk in a bid to control her laughter.
“You can’t just leave people hanging there,” Eamonn said. “’Stop showing me that’, she says.”
As Ruth wiped tears away from her eyes, she simply said: “Stop it!”

Ruth was unable to get her words and as she laughed uncontrollably, she placed her head in her hands.
“You know what, you’re going to get me in trouble,” she explained.
“It’s just a picture,” Eamonn replied before he said to the crew: “No, you can’t see it.”
Explaining what they were laughing at, Ruth said: “Someone sent a picture of Eamonn and if you zoom in on his neck, it looked a bit odd.”
Before Ruth could say anymore, Eamonn quipped: “No, don’t do that. Don’t do that!”
“Sorry,” the host apologised as she continued to wipe tears from her eyes.
“I wish I could say because it’s annoying when people do this. It’s like an ‘in’ joke.
“Anyway, you better read that bit,” she said to Eamonn as she tried to carry on with the show.

“Oh, my goodness,” Ruth added as she proceeded to burst out laughing once again. “Go on!”
“Sometimes do you not embarrass yourself?” Eamonn asked. “That you let yourself down?”
“It’s my sense of humour,” Ruth added.
Despite not knowing what the duo were laughing at, viewers loved seeing Ruth laughing at the joke.
One viewer penned: “How refreshing and hilarious to see genuine laughter from Eamonn and Ruth. I’m going to miss them so much on This Morning. I’ll be gutted when their stint on the programme is over.”
