Saturday Night Takeaway fans disgusted by Stephen Mulhern’s steak bake challenge

Saturday Night Takeaway was back tonight for the second episode of this new season of the show.

Ant and Dec were up to their usual antics, but their Saturday Night Takeaway colleague, Stephen Mulhern, stole a bit of their limelight with another new game show of his design.

His new game show saw him go to Gregg's HQ and get the employees there to participate in a series of games.

However, one involving some string tied to their toes and a steak bake on the end of the string had some viewers feeling a bit queasy.

Each contestant had to try and eat the steak bake by putting their foot in the air to lower the pastry to their mouths.

It all resulted in some stomach-churning scenes as the insides of steak bakes ended up running all down the contestants' faces.

Viewers then took to Twitter to talk about this particular challenge, and many of them were left feeling a little bit sick by the whole ordeal.

One fan wrote: "I'm not 100% sure about this Stephen Mulhern segment…"

Another added: "Thats me put off Steak Bakes for the foreseeable…"

Still, not everyone was made queasy by the challenge, and they actually said they're now craving Greggs' steak bakes.

One commented: "Gregg's employees eating steak bakes using no hands with a foot in the air.. good old British TV…"

Another said: "It's the Greggs British Steak Bake off!"

Finally, a third tweeted: "I really want a steak bake now!!"

It remains to be seen what other challenges Stephen Mulhern comes up with the future.
