Seven Coronation Street spoilers as Abi strikes back against Imran

ABI Webster has had enough of being stepped on by Imran Habeeb in their fight for baby Alfie's custody.

This week in Coronation Street, the mechanic takes a leaf from his book and retaliates. Get the lowdown on all of this week's drama.

1. Abi plays dirty

For weeks, Imran Habeeb (played by Charlie De Melo) has been trying to drag Abi Webster's (Sally Carman) name through the mud in a bid to get custody of their son Alfie.

Imran recently convinced dodgy police officer Ben to lie in court about photographs he'd taken of Abi handing over some cash to Dean, who turned to her for drugs.

However, Abi won't go down without a fight either and when she sees Ben buying drugs himself, she's determined to turn the tables on Imran.

She does so by filming Ben buying the drugs.

2. Peter gets arrested

Meanwhile, there's a new feud brewing in the cobbles as Peter Barlow (portrayed by Chris Gascoyne) is ready to put Dr Henry Thorne (Dominic Mafham) back in his place.

Coming up in Corrie, when Peter and his wife Carla (Alison King) find out about Dr Thorne's bet on his life, Peter angrily demands an apology.

He then declares he will be putting a stop to his abuse of power – but nothing goes according to plan.

Peter finds Dr Thorne in a restaurant and approaches him, only to be taunted by the doctor.

A furious Peter takes things to another level by punching Dr Thorne.

Unfortunately for him, the police soon come to the surgeon's rescue and arrest him on suspicion of assault, and Peter is soon charged while at the police station.

3. Carla is embroiled in a feud

This leaves Underworld factory boss Carla desperate to get him out of trouble.

She's willing to do anything to get Dr Thorne's sympathy – but he's just as determined to wreak havoc.

Coming up, Carla tries to make amends with Mr Thorne on Peter's behalf.

Dr Thorne retaliates by asking her to dinner, leaving Carla speechless.

She reluctantly gives him her number when he promises to call her about dropping the charges against Peter.

Later on, he offers to drop the charges and retire with immediate effect if, in return, Peter withdraws his complaint about him with the hospital.

Peter then returns home and Carla accidentally leaves her phone behind for him to see all of her messages.

He's horrified to read her exchange with Dr Thorne… and becomes furious when he reads a message from him telling Carla he looks forward to their dinner.

The driver is blinded with rage once again and promises his other half he will make Dr Thorne pay.

The vendetta leads him to call the Weatherfield Gazette and ask them to run an article on Dr Thorne's unethical medical practices.

Peter goes a step further by asking nurse Aggie Bailey (Lorna Laidlaw) to dig through the NHS records and provide him with any information which might incriminate.

While she tells him she can't afford to risk her job, despite Dr Thorne's bullying, will Aggie help Peter?

How far will the feud go?

4. Summer gets rejected…

After a lot of turmoil with her eating disorder, Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) has finally found the support she needed thanks to her guardian, Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank).

The Weatherfield teen joined a diabetic support group and has met another teen called Aaron (James Craven) and has grown fond of him.

But this week, Summer is disappointed by her connection with the youngster.

The Weatherfield teen first reveals to Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) that she’s joined a diabetic support group.

Later, he suggests to Summer they could give dating another go and Summer admits she’s fallen for someone else.

Summer then meets up with Aaron from the diabetic support group and opens up about her bulimia.

Aaron is taken aback when she confides in him and Summer worries that she has scared him off.

Aaron assures Summer that he’s in no way judging her, but believes it is best if they don’t see each other outside of the support group.

5. … And her insecurities return

Sadly the rejection does nothing to help Summer with her insecurities.

The latter resurface soon after she spends time with Aaron.

In her bedroom, Summer looks at her reflection in the mirror, hating what she sees.

To make matters worse, in later scenes, Summer tries to call Aaron but it goes straight to voicemail.

Could this trigger her eating disorder?

6. Tim keeps another secret

After his mother Elaine left the cobbles, it has become clear Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) is trying to distract himself and everyone else from another problem.

Tim has not physically been able to be intimate with his wife Sally (Sally Dynevor), despite his desires.

The cabbie is willing to go above and beyond to avoid talking about his impotence.

Coming up in the cobbles, Sally offers to accompany Tim to the doctor’s, but he insists he wants to go on his own.

Later on, Kirk Sutherland (Andy Whyment) finds Tim loitering outside the medical centre but Tim makes excuses and does a runner.

Once home, he lies to Sally, making out that the doctor said his condition is nothing to worry about and perfectly normal after a major operation.

Will he keep hiding the truth?

7. Tyrone and Fiz get close again

Elsewhere, Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) and his former flame Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) appear to get closer once again.

This week, Tyrone suggests that Fiz should stay and watch their favourite TV programme together for old time’s sake.

Later on, Tyrone offers her a lift home and Fiz, who has moved away from the cobbles, is touched.

Fiz admits that she never had this trouble when she lived at No.9.

As Tyrone pulls up outside Fiz’s new house, she offers to show him around.
