Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) betrayed Jamie Tate (Alexander Lincoln) in Emmerdale in a huge way, and now the ITV soap has revealed what comes next.
It was an eventful week in the eponymous village, as a vengeful Andrea (Anna Nightingale) decided that she’d played nice long enough, and therefore revealed to Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) that it was Jamie who left her for dead.
Moira was horrified, but Belle kept shtum about the fact that she’d known all along, and hightailed it up to Home Farm to inform her beau that the truth was out.
Jamie remained calm, as he knew he’d disposed of all the evidence carefully, but Belle was adamant that he needed to be sure there was nothing that could tie him to the crime, and therefore they set out to do just that.
Arriving at the lake where he disposed of the vehicle involved in the collision, Jamie revealed his true feelings for Belle, but Cain (Jeff Hordley) soon arrived — bat in hand — with revenge on his mind.
In a shock twist, Belle revealed that — as she knows where the evidence is — she’d called the police on Jamie, and had been playing him this whole time.
Jamie was subsequently released, but he’s horrified to know that everyone has turned against him.
Meanwhile, Belle begged Andrea to reconsider, after Jamie cornered her and demanded that she be his alibi.
In the coming episodes, Belle receives a call from Andrea, who reveals that she’ll agree to her plan, as they plot to take Jamie down once and for all.
