Spoilers: Kheerat suspects Gray killed Chantelle in EastEnders

Kheerat Panesar (Jaz Deol) was devastated in EastEnders tonight (September 21), as he discovered that Chantelle Atkins (Jessica Plummer) had died.

Kheerat had been planning on running away with Chantelle, after they confessed their feelings for one another.

However, viewers will know that Gray (Toby-Alexander Smith) — having worked out the truth — made Chantelle call things off with Kheerat during Friday’s episode (September 18), before he killed her.

Tonight, Kheerat learned of what had transpired at No. 1 Albert Square, and he was left heartbroken as a result.

Afterwards, he sat in his offices and listened to the voicemail Chantelle had left on his device over and over, and became convinced that he can hear fear and hesitation in her voice.

Suki (Balvinder Sopal) entered, and asked him if he believed that Gray had murdered Chantelle.

While Kheerat didn’t outright acknowledge her question, it was clear that he had plenty of doubts about Gray’s grieving widower act.
