Spoilers: Linda's actions leave her family in tatters in EastEnders tonight

Linda Carter’s (Kellie Bright) actions have had an incredibly negative impact on her family in EastEnders over the past couple of months, as she struggles with her addiction to alcohol, but she takes things to a whole new level during tonight’s episode, and — having believed Mick (Danny Dyer) to be discussing her behind her back to social worker Loretta — she makes a bad call, and ends up devastating her family in the process.

Viewers were left in shock last week, when Linda — determined to get the upper hand once more — revealed that she’d sought legal advice, and therefore handed Mick divorce papers.

Knowing better than to take her advice at her word when she’s under the influence of booze, Mick refused to believe her actions, and revealed during last night’s episode that he’s not prepared to lose the woman that he loves.

Social worker Loretta’s visit went off pretty well — in spite of the fact that Linda had to pour gin in her tea in order to get through the meeting — but matters became somewhat complicated when The Queen Vic landlady overheard Mick and Loretta having a private word.

During tonight’s episode, Linda berates her husband for talking to Loretta about her, and makes it her mission to set the social worker straight. Later, she catches up with Loretta — but she’s drunk when she does so.

She soon arrives home and Mick discovers what she’s done — leaving him distraught in the process.

However, Linda is later left feeling ashamed of herself, as she knows she’s messed everything up.

What exactly has Linda done?

What’s more, are her actions irreversible?

EastEnders continues Tuesday 11 February at 7:30pm on BBC One.
