Spoilers: Sharon gets the Vic in EastEnders twist as soap airs final episode

Phil Mitchell (Letitia Dean) was fuming in EastEnders, as he discovered Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) had sold The Queen Vic to Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) — who received funding from Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt).

Phil arrived in The Vic in an effort to get Mick to sign over the premises to him, but in typical fashion, Linda stood up for her mate Sharon — railing at the hardman for being so awful towards her.

An irate Linda revealed she’s got no intention of selling to Phil, but Mick was adamant that his wife’s health was more important than the identity of the person the pub was being sold to.

Linda reminisced about her time as landlady of the Queen Vic — something which made Mick all the more concerned — and therefore he pleaded with Sharon to have a word.

Sharon declined to do so, suggesting that if Mick wasn’t able to convince her to leave, then nobody would be able to. However, she did suggest that it would be in Linda’s best interests to get her out of the pub as soon as possible.

Mick loves his wife more than anything, and therefore, he took drastic action to ensure he got her out from behind the bar.

As Phil turned up to get Mick and Linda to sign the papers, Mick revealed he’d found another buyer — much to Linda’s shock.

Desperate to know who it is, Linda and Phil followed the former landlord out into the pub, to discover Sharon — looking as iconic as ever — propping up the bar, with a smirking Ian by her side.

Linda was thrilled, as was Mick, but Phil, however, was fuming.

Sharon’s back where she belongs, but what does the future hold?

We’ll have to wait and see, as EastEnders is taking a hiatus for the first time in its 35-year history — and what a spectacular ‘Doof Doof’ to conclude with!

EastEnders will return to BBC One later in the year.
