The finale of Strictly Come Dancing 2022 is finally here with the last four celebrities and their pro partners ready to take to the dance floor one last time in the hopes of lifting the Glitterball Trophy. Fleur East managed to bag herself a spot in the final of the BBC phenomenon alongside pro dance partner Vito Coppola after beating Will Mellor in the semi-final dance-off but with hours to go until the finale, the chances of her snatching glory aren’t looking good.
That’s because Fleur has been dealt a huge blow to her chances in the latest bookmakers’ odds for the finale.
Fleur has emerged as the rank outsider to win the competition at the expense of Hamza, Helen or Molly.
While Fleur has impressed the likes of Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Harwood, Anton Du Beke and Motsi Mabuse with her routines each week, even earning a perfect 40, this hasn’t been reflected by the viewing public.
Fleur had landed in a number of dance-offs and now bookmakers think her chances of winning the public over are very slim.
According to William Hill, Fleur is ranked far from her fellow finalists in the odds, with a 40/1 chance of lifting the Glitterball Trophy.
However, her odds of glory are stretched even further by Ladbrokes, which has placed her at 50/1.
The same goes for BetVictor which too places Fleur as a 50/1 outsider to end up the winner.
At the other end of the odds, bookies are unanimous in their backing of Hamza to be revealed as this year’s champion.
The Countryfile star is a 4/9 odds-on favourite with Ladbrokes, with Ladbrokes replicating the same odds.
BetVictor differs slightly by offering odds of 8/15 on Hamza being crowned this year’s champion alongside pro partner Jowita Przystal.
William Hill Spokesperson, Lee Phelps, said of the finalists: “Hamza Yassin has become a public favourite, impressing week in and week out, and we make him just 4/9 to lift the Glitterball Trophy.”
Elsewhere, Alex Apati of Ladbrokes added: “It looks like we’re in for a two-horse race for the Glitterball Trophy…

“And while Fleur and Molly are seemingly making up the numbers, it’s the latter who is currently most likely to find herself finishing in third place.”
Sam Boswell of BetVictor has also commented: “Hamza is still our favourite to win at 8/15. He’s dominated the market throughout the series, some lucky punters backed him early in the series sat on prices as big as 25/1.
“Hamza and Jowita’s favourite dance is Couple’s Choice to Jerusalema – Remix by Master KG featuring Burna Boy and Nomcebo Zikode.
“Helen Skelton is close behind Hamza, as she comes in at 6/4. Helen and Gorka’s favourite dance of the series will be their iconic Couple’s Choice to Mein Herr by Liza Minnelli (from Cabaret).
“Molly Rainford is 25/1, Molly and Carlos’ favourite dance is Rumba to All the Man That I Need by Whitney Houston. Fleur East is 50/1, Fleur and Vito’s Couple’s Choice to Destiny’s Child Megamix by Destiny’s Child.”
Helen could pose as close opposition to Hamza, however, if the bookies’ odds are anything to go by.
She’s placed as a 7/4 outside shot to pip Hamza to the post and land Gorka Marquez his first Strictly win as a pro.
The Strictly Come Dancing final airs tonight at 7:05pm on BBC One.
