Strictly’s Luba Mushtuk wants show fan David Attenborough as celebrity partner

Strictly pro Luba Mushtuk is eyeing up her next celebrity partner and has revealed she’d love to see national treasure David Attenborough showing off his moves on the famous dancefloor.

Luba, who is cheering on her co-stars rather than taking part in this year’s competition, exclusively told OK! that she’s heard through the grapevine that the nature presenter is a big fan of Strictly Come Dancing.

The 31 year old revealed: “I heard that David Attenborough is a big fan of the show.”

She continued: “I heard it – not from him personally as I haven’t met him yet. If that’s true I am extremely, extremely happy as he’s just brilliant.”

And when asked whether she’d like him to join her on the show for a spin in the next series, Luba answered: “Well, you never know, I’m up for it definitely.”

But David’s not the only man Luba would like to teach to dance in the future. The star, who has previously been partnered with the likes of Jason Bell and James Cracknell, also recently lifted the lid on another dream partner of her's.

Speaking on Strictly sister show It Takes Two, host Janette Manrara asked a panel, including Luba, who their ultimate celebrity contestant would be.

And Luba wasted no time in answering, quickly revealing: “Michael McIntyre because he’s so much fun, he’s so entertaining and I think he would bring so much joy to the show.”

She went on to add: “And it would be so much fun to rehearse with him. I’m a big fan, Michael!”

This comes after Luba recently opened up about how “proud” she is of her good friend Anton Du Beke since he joined the Strictly judging panel.

She told us: “He’s perfect! Even last year when he sat in as a judge we were really pleased for him because he’s just perfect as a judge.”

Luba continued: “I love the way his comments are always on point. I’m always sitting in front of him so I like listening to him and feeling like a proud mum.”

She added: “I’m very, very pleased for him and think he judges very well.”

The dancer also teased viewers by saying there are even more amazing pro dances to come throughout the rest of the series.

She said: “I love having a partner, obviously, but honestly I’m just so happy to be part of the show.

“The pro numbers this year are just another level and I can’t wait for everyone to see the rest of them.”
