TEEN Mom star Javi Marroquin was slammed by fans on Instagram for making his son Lincoln train for football in a 103 degree heatwave.
The reality star posted a photo of his sleeping son along with a video of the football star running drills with his trainer.
Javi, 28, captioned the post: "What. A. Day. Heat index of 103 today and my boy was out there grinding with his trainer @lethal_speedy for almost 3 hours ( video coming soon) he played with his friends after and after I got Eli to bed he asked me to go outside and train with him. Sometimes I get scared we’re going to burn him out or he’s going too hard."
He continued: "I just realized he’s built different… as long as he continues to have fun and love the game, we’ll do everything we can to make sure he has the resources to be the best he can be. Days like today just remind me how big my kings heart is and how passionate he is about football. I hope he keeps this same passion for what he loves whether that’s football or another sport as he grows up. I’m so proud. So proud ?"
The proud father received backlash from fans for making the seven-year-old practice outside during a scorching heatwave.
One concerned fan commented: "Just please be careful with the heat index that high. Keep him, and you hydrated, and cool off as much as possible."
Another chimed in: "Yeah way too hot be outside like that"
Javi shares Lincoln with his ex-wife, Kailyn Lowry.
Javi is currently undergoing a court battle with his ex-fiance, Lauren Comeau.
The Teen Mom 2 star previously filed the restraining order against Lauren after she "hit him in front of their son."
In court documents obtained exclusively by The Sun, Javi filed a protection from abuse against her.
The father of two requested temporary custody of their son Eli, 2, on June 21 before he asked to drop the order just one day later.
The Delaware native claimed in the report: "Respondent assaulted me in front of our children, I worry she will come to my house and assault me again and/or try to take our son.
“She has assaulted me on multiple occasions and due to my career I want to protect my job and kids.”
Javi continued: “Verbal argument she closed fist punched me several times. She snatched my gold chain off my neck. Our 2 year old son was present and witnessed."
The MTV star, who currently shares 50/50 custody of their toddler, asked for temporary legal custody and that his ex stay away from him, his home and his workplace.
A temporary order of protection from abuse was granted by the court as they felt the "Respondent has committed an act of domestic violence against the petitioner and further finds that there is an immediate and present danger of additional acts of violence.”
Lauren was ordered to stay 100 feet away from her baby daddy, his residence, and his workplace, and was only allowed to contact him by text or email regarding their son.
Then, on June 22, Javi filed to voluntarily dismiss the petition as he claimed he "no longer feel threatened by my son’s mother. I believe we can handle any altercation that arises.”
The ex-couple has been on and off since 2017, splitting ways temporarily when the MTV star dated Teen Mom's Briana DeJesus.
The duo reconciled in March of 2018 and announced their pregnancy just weeks later.
Javi and Lauren welcomed their son Eli in November of 2019, but less than a year afterward their relationship was hit with a cheating scandal.
The mother of one caught her baby daddy naked with another woman in their Delaware home during a party with friends.
The controversial father later took to Instagram to issue a public apology, writing: “Lauren, I’m sorry for my mistakes, I’m sorry I broke your heart, I’m sorry I disrespected you. I’m sorry I took you for granted. I could say sorry for a million other things but I’m sorry will never be enough.
“I hurt the one person that I love the most. I will do everything in my power to become a better man and hopefully one day you can forgive me. I’ll do anything to have you home.”
She took him back weeks later, but they split for good with his ex-wife Kailyn Lowry revealed on Teen Mom 2 in 2020 he tried to have sex with her.
