The Handmaid’s Tale has changed quite a lot over the course of three seasons.

While June was more-or-less the only character in the show during season one, season three saw her acting within an ensemble.

The same goes for behind the scenes in the show, as the third season was the biggest in the series yet, season four will no-doubt be even larger.

On this, June star Elisabeth recently told Bustle about one of the key members of her team behind the camera.

On what she would like to be asked once in a while, Elisabeth told the publication: “I get asked so many questions, I feel like everyone covers everything!

“I guess the only thing that comes to mind is that, when you’re an actor and you’re the star of something, a lot of the attention goes on you as being the famous person and the person in the movie.

“But there’s just so many people that [work on] a project that if they didn’t do their jobs brilliantly, no one would give a s**t about what I do, and no one would want to talk to me.”

Elisabeth then featured one of her crew members, as she explained: “Like, our focus puller on Handmaid’s is like the most brilliant focus puller in the world.

“And, you don’t understand — if I’m not in focus, we can’t use [the take]. It doesn’t matter what I do.”

The Handmaid’s Tale has been the centre of a number of listicles which feature it as one of the best shows on TV.

And many of these cite it as a well-crafted show with gorgeous visuals – confirming Elisabeth’s comments.

The focus pulling is, of course, a great inclusion to the show, and will no-doubt continue to be utilised in the episodes to come.

“She knows everyone (wives, handmaids, commanders) revile her and admits as much in season three.”
