THE Only Way Is Essex has held talks with a show legend in a bid to get that to make a sensational return to the show.
The Sun can exclusively reveal that bosses have approached original cast member Lauren Goodger to try and woo her back to the long-running ITVBe hit.
An insider reveals: " Towie are always in talks with former cast mates with a view to bringing them back and Lauren is top of their wish list.
"She's had chats with producers and while she hasn't signed on the dotted line yet, the door is definitely wide open for her to come back.
"Lauren would be the big star of the show if she was to return, and Amy Childs' comeback proved a huge hit with viewers, so watch this space."
The Sun understands that the show is keen to surprise longtime fans of the show with some nostalgic faces.

When approached for comment, a rep for Lauren said: "There are lots of exciting things on the horizon for Lauren in 2023, including some big TV projects."
Lauren joined Towie as part of the original cast back in 2010.
She left in 2012, and then made a full time return in 2016, only to leave again after one series.
