Virgin River Holiday Episodes: Teaser trailer

Charmaine Roberts (played by Lauren Hammersley) confirmed to Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) he was not the father of her twins after all, leaving the former Marine devastated in the Netflix series.
She admitted Jack would be a better father than their real dad, whose identity she refused to reveal apart from confessing to being a one-night-stand.
However, it later transpired Calvin (David Cubitt) was the father of Charmaine’s twins after he returned to Virgin River from the dead.
Did Charmaine cheat on Jack in Virgin River?
Jack and Charmaine were together but clearly during this period, she must have cheated on him at some point.
The bar owner and stylist had a casual relationship when they first started out but it seemed to get more serious on Charmaine’s side than Jack’s.
When Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge), who tragically suffered a baby loss in season five, turned up in town and Jack began pursuing her, Charmaine seemed to want to keep hold of her on/off lover.
But it looks like Charmaine was also playing the field and keeping things casual with Jack despite trying to keep her claws in him – or at least away from Mel.
Many fans of the Netflix series are curious to know when Charmaine would have had her indiscretion, taking to Reddit they have been discussing the plot point.
Reddit user Consistent-Algae-230 said: “She was very desperate for attention in those first few seasons, so Im not surprised that she was having sex with more then one guy at a time – jack and supposedly now Calvin [sic].”

While Actual-Reference3125 posted: “When searching for Jack with Mel, she mentioned she worked at that bar when she was only 16.
“She certainly was exposed to not nice people. Her only family she ever mentions is her aunt and uncle.
“I’m sure she saw other people when Jack was busy with the bar, but felt Jack was her best choice to better her situation.”
A third called speciaalk pointed out: “Also, I feel like we missed the ‘you lied to me about the twins AND you cheated?!’
“I know Jack’s character wasn’t looking for anything serious, but still — they dated for two years. That infidelity was totally swept under the rug [sic].”

As Eleouise37 commented: “I remember Charmaine asking him whether he started sleeping with Mel before or after they split up. He dismissed the first option as being a no go.
“It sounded to me that despite the casual nature of their relationship, it wasn’t exactly portrayed as open.
“Although I’m not that invested , i am keen to to learn more about the circumstances of the Calvin / Charmaine hook up – how they explain it considering how much into Jack she was.
“There’s also this bit during s2 where Mel is looking at Charmaine’s medical history and finds fertility drugs use – I wonder if they will ever tie this up [sic].”
But Complete-Road-3229 said: “Yeah infidelity requires a relationship of some sort. F*** buddies can’t cheat.”
Nonetheless, cactus_prickles explained: “But she thought they were together, even if he didn’t. I felt so bad for her in season one because of it. But actually. She was cheating.”
Others waded into when the conception could have happened with Unonuon saying: “It was when Mel and Jack got kidnapped.
“She snuck in to make sure they both kept their clothes on. Then she saw Calvin, injured, and he probably looked at her and that’s all the attention she needed.”
As bertiecus theorised: “Also both Charmaine and Calvin were at Jack’s Bar in the season one episode where the town had no power.
“That’s where Calvin got Charmaine to write her note saying that Jack was the father, and that Jack wouldn’t stick his nose into Calvin’s drug business because he’s got a baby on the way and wouldn’t do anything stupid to jeopardise his own life. That’s my head-canon at the minute.”
However, someone else pointed out Charmaine was already pregnant at this point.
With Complete-Road-3229 adding: “Pretty sure it happened at the pot farm in some nasty a** tent knowing Charmaine’s a**.”
For now, it looks like Charmaine did indeed cheat on Jack but they may have to wait for season five part two or season six to shed more light on her dalliance with the dangerous drug dealer.
