So, fans will need to sit tight a little while longer.

Who stars in xXx 4?

Vin Diesel is not only set to reprise his role but is also taking a more hands-on approach to production.

Vin Diesel’s production company One Race Films and The H Collective bought the rights to the xXx franchise, so they will be leading the movie-making.

Deepika Padukone, a bonafide Bollywood star, has signed on to reprise her role a Serena Unger, and has broken into the Hollywood market through her xXx: Return of Xander Cage role.

Back in January 2019, Vin Diesel posted a picture of himself and Padukone with the caption: “Heading into a xXx meeting this weekend.

“Who would you like to see added to the xXx League?”

Zoe Zhang, and double threats Jay Chou and Roy Wang are joining the group of agents.

What is the plot of xXx 4?

Very few details are known about the plot.

However, director D.J. Caruso did let slip his vision for the sequel.

Speaking to Collider, Caruso said: “I think there’s a bigger ‘they’re’ at play that we talked about.

“We also talked about, particularly with the political climate as it is now, not that we’re such a hugely political movie, but Sam [Jackson] talks about how we need someone to watch the watchers…

“So that’s kind of the idea with the next one,” Caruso added.

“And then, if we can expand on that, what would the world leaders do if they know that these were the people watching the watchers?”

Sadly, as production does not look to have begun, and may not do for some time due to the coronavirus, fans will need to wait quite a while for a trailer.
