Zara McDermott posts emotional video begging Sam Thompson to take her back and says he's the love of her life

ZARA McDermott has posted an emotional video begging ex Sam Thompson to take her back, calling him the "love of her life".

The 23-year-old star has been left heartbroken by their recent split, with 28-year-old Sam dumping her after learning she cheated on him last year.

Taking to her Instagram page today, Zara shared a video montage of their memories together, starting with the message: "To the love of my life, I want you to know how much I adore you.

"This video will show you why."

With Nathan Sykes' Over & Over Again playing in the background, a series of intimate clips of Sam and Zara's 16-month relationship replay.

The Love Island beauty added in the caption: "TO THE LOVE OF MY LIFE… There aren’t enough words to describe how I feel about you.

"You are my favourite person, my truest love. I made this video montage for you of our memories over these last few years.

"I want to create a million more memories like these throughout the rest of my life… with you.

"I am sorry our journey hasn’t been the easiest, and I am forever wishing I could find a way to turn back the clock.

"Remember… you are everything. You are my moon and all my stars and everything in between. ❤️ I miss you. I love you more and more every day."

Sam has not publicly responded to the post.

Earlier this month, Zara begged for her ex's forgiveness in an open letter as she confessed to bedding music boss Brahim Fouradi while on X Factor: Celebrity last year.

She wrote on Instagram: "Hey everyone, I just wanted to address the recent speculation in the media.

"A huge mistake I made a year ago has recently come to light and I want to face this head on.

"I don't condone being unfaithful and I made a huge mistake at a time in my life where I was hugely selfish and immature.

"I believe I have learnt so much from my mistake. I want to apologise to my Sam for everything I have put him through, for the pain, the embarrassment, the anger and the hurt.

"All I want to do is make this right and I think the least he deserves is me being honest with myself and all of you. I love you Sam. Forever."

The Sun revealed last month that fans will see the dramatic fallout of the scandal in the new series of Made In Chelsea, which stars the former couple.

A source told us at the time: "The cameras have captured the whole fallout of Zara and Sam's dramatic split.

"It means viewers will get to see the raw emotion caused by Zara's infidelity last year, as Sam tries to come to terms with what has happened.

"There's going to be a lot of tears and rows as Zara fights for her relationship."

Heartbroken Sam took time away from the spotlight by heading straight to film Channel 4's celebrity version of The Circle with best pal Pete Wicks after the bombshell news broke.

The week away filming the programme, which will air in the New Year, gave him no access to the outside world and time to "clear his head".
