Colombian investigators have said a preliminary toxicology report revealed Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins had drugs in his system before he died on Friday 25 March.
The musician was found dead in his hotel room in Bogota, Colombia, at the age of 50 a few hours before the band was due to play at Festival Estéreo Picnic.
Colombia's attorney general has now said in a new statement that a preliminary urine toxicology test on Hawkins' body found 10 different substances present, including opioids, marijuana, tricyclic antidepressants, and benzodiazepines.
The statement added: “The National Institute of Forensic Medicine continues to conduct the necessary medical studies to ascertain the cause of death.
“The Attorney General’s Office will continue to investigate and will duly inform the findings of forensic examinations in due time.”
The cause of death has not officially been ruled as of yet and investigators did not say the drugs in his system was a factor.
The City Health Department also said the drummer suffered "chest pains" before his death as they shared in a statement: "With regards to the death of the American musician Taylor Hawkins in the neighbourhood of Chapinero, which happened on Friday night, the City Health Department states the following:
“The city’s Emergency Regulation Centre received an alert about a patient with chest pain in a hotel located in the north of the city.

“The health professional that was dealing with the emergency indicated attempts to revive the patient had been carried out but there had been no response and the patient was pronounced dead.
