Kevin Clifton, 39, met his girlfriend Stacey Dooley, 34, when they were partnered together on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018. The ex Strictly professional apologised to Stacey on Instagram last night after she called him out for cropping her “leather trousers” out the snap.
At least the nail art was spared.

Kevin took to Instagram to post a loved up picture of the couple at Sadlers Well theatre in London.
The ex Strictly professional sported a black tee with Stacey wearing a cream turtleneck jumper, styling the outfit with gold hoops.
In view of his 360,000 Instagram followers he captioned the image: “Me and @sjdooley at @saders_well for @matthewbourne13 @mbnewsadventures ‘The Nutcracker’. Photo by @davebennett.”
It was not only fans that took to the comments, but Stacey left a comment of distaste after her “excellent leather trousers” were cropped out.
She penned: “You’ve cropped out my excellent leather trousers babe.
“At least the nail art was spared.”
Kevin hastily replied: “Sorry I forgot about your rock chick chic.” (sic)
Fans also took to the comments section to compliment the stars on their loved up display.
Lymebayday said: “Well there’s your Christmas card picture sorted.”
Maryeithnemoore added: “Beautiful couple.”
Avriljonesphoto commented: “Ooh, we’re going to see that next week. Enjoy!” (sic)
Kevin won the sixteenth series of Strictly in 2018 with Stacey, which marked his first victory on the show.
He had appeared in every final since he joined the show in 2013, with the exceptions of 2017 and 2019.
Kevin, however announced a break away from Strictly in March 2020, citing his reasoning for leaving the show was to focus on “other areas of his career”.
That he did, as he secured himself a role on the prestigious West End musical Singin’ in the Rain, where he played sidekick Cosmo Brown.
Even though Kevin has not been on Strictly this year he is still very much involved, talking about the show on his podcast The Kevin Clifton Show.
His sister Joanne Clifton co presents the show with him and they go through Strictly week on week with their criticisms and praises.
Most recently Kevin commented on Rose Ayling Ellis’ brutal fall during training.
Kevin informed his podcast listeners that he received a video from Giovanni Pernice over text that showed the incident.
He said to Joanne: “I’ll let you into a little secret as well…
“I was texting Giovanni and he sent over some footage of the camera blocking.
“Where the lift sort of went wrong, he caught her and everything…”
Kevin continued: “The thing with that lift is it’s not just a leap of faith and he has to catch her, and that has to be timed perfectly, but it’s the momentum once she’s been caught.”
