Leonardo DiCaprio is joined by the legendary conservationist Jane Goodall and director Richard Ladkani at the premiere of the documentary Sea of Shadows on Wednesday (July 10) at NeueHouse Hollywood in Los Angeles.
Leo is an executive producer on the National Geographic documentary. The vaquita, the world’s smallest whale, is near extinction as its habitat is destroyed by Mexican cartels and Chinese mafia, who harvest the swim bladder of the totoaba fish, the “cocaine of the sea.”
The documentary tells the story of the vaquita. Environmental activists, Mexican navy and undercover investigators are fighting back against this illegal multi-million-dollar business.
Jane isn’t in the film, but she came out to support the documentary. Leo spent the night by her side!
