Love Island host Caroline Flack DEFENDS islander Anna Vakili after James Jordan brands her a ‘nasty piece of work’

James Jordan took to Twitter to slam islander Anna Vakili ahead of Wednesday night’s episode of Love Island where she is seen arguing with Michael Griffiths for dumping her BFF Amber Gill.

Love Island’s recoupling became explosive on Tuesday night after Michael decided to recouple with new girl Joanna, leaving Amber single.

Former Strictly Come Dancing professional James Jordan wrote on Twitter: “Anna is one nasty piece of work. At least the mean girls don’t have so much power in the villa anymore.”

“It’s called karma baby! It is what it is.”

However, host Caroline Flack was quick to defend he 28 year old pharmacist, as she replied to James with: “She’s not nasty.”

Not backing down, James replied: “That’s how she came across babe."

Protective Caroline continued to defend Anna, writing: “It’s an extreme statement .. for her to come out and see … were better than that x.” [sic]

James continued to write: “But I also remember the way she was also nasty to Danny….. only commenting on what I see. I’m not that keen, sorry.” [sic]

Caroline replied a final time with: “I like to protect my islanders .. Love you tho as always.” [sic]

In a teaser for Wednesday’s show, Anna and Amber are set to confront Michael over his decision, with Anna being branded a “hypocrite”.

Fans took to Twitter after the teaser was aired, saying Anna shouldn’t be arguing on behalf of Amber as she did the same thing to partner Jordan by ditching him for Ovie.

“Anna and Amber clearly proving Michael made the right decision judging by tomorrow’s episode,” one wrote.

A second added: “How can Anna sit there and shout at Michael when she’s done the EXACT same thing to Jordan?”

While a third wrote: “Anna and Amber are being bullies. Michael definitely made the right decision.”

ITV continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
