Uncompromisingly glamorous 30-year-old Maura Higgins ended her relationship with Giovanni Pernice, who is in the Strictly final with Rose Ayling-Ellis, in October. The pair had been seriously dating for around four months but according to sources, the relationship reportedly turned sour within just days of moving in together.

The pair deleted photos of each other and eliminated nearly every trace of their relationship from social media, amid shock from fans.

However, she passionately exposed her feelings about break-ups after one of her 3.3 million followers asked her how best to deal with a relationship coming to an end.

“Allow yourself to grieve!” the former Love Island star captioned a slide of her Instagram story.

“Spend time with the people you love & always remind yourself that everything happens for a reason!!”

She added in the fan Q&A: “The people who are meant to be in your life will be in your life.”

She also added a glamorous photo of herself to punctuate the point that life must go on.

Before this candid message, very little had been said about her own reported heartache with Giovanni.

However, a source recently claimed to The Sun that Giovanni had ended things after not feeling ready to settle down.

The 31-year-old Italian has a hectic schedule packed with promotional work and overseas travel.

Meanwhile, Maura is equally busy, having previously cut lucrative deals with the likes of Ann Summers.

“Maura is flying here, there and everywhere for her modelling career,” the source had claimed.

“[Meanwhile] Giovanni is working 24/7 on Strictly, and does not plan to settle down after this season of Strictly is over.”

However, the Italian dancer was keen to set the record straight amid the rumours.

Thanking fans for their “amazing messages and support”, Giovanni made a statement regarding the break-up.

“Firstly, great relationships with great people can come to a natural end,” he wrote on social media.

“This has been the case for me recently.

“There was absolutely no wrong-doing and this should be the end of any speculation.”

Meanwhile Maura, who is currently promoting her glamorous make-up range, is moving on already.

When asked on Instagram if she was excited for 2022, she wrote back that she was “1 million percent” looking forward to the future.

The star, who enjoyed her 30th birthday celebrations in the warm and balmy Maldives, shared excitedly: “I am already so busy for early next year.”

Having seemingly allowed herself to “grieve”, Maura is now looking towards the next chapter in her life.
