Kris Jenner is a very busy woman. If you follow her on social media, you know that she’s always traveling around the world, hitting the hottest events, and hanging with her family. But it might seem like she doesn’t have much work-related content on her page, which makes one wonder: What exactly does Kris Jenner do for a living?
And the truth is, the Kardashian matriarch does a lot of things.
She’s responsible for her kids’ careers
Jenner has her hands full. She’s been managing her kids’ careers since at least 2007, helping them score business and endorsement deals, modeling opportunities, and pretty much every other business venture they’ve ever taken on, whether it be a makeup line or a lifestyle website. In exchange, they reportedly pay her 10% of every deal they make.

Jenner is even the mastermind behind the family’s wildly successful reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which is currently heading into its 17th season. She approached Ryan Seacrest with the idea more than a decade ago, and the rest is history. The effort paid off, too. According to Harper’s Bazaar, she rakes in $40 million annually from the series.
She has a bunch of endorsement deals
Like almost every other member in her family, Jenner has several endorsement deals, so that’s another thing she does. In many instances, she’ll use social media to promote a product, like the time she posted an ad for a teeth whitening kit in June 2019.
She’s also had deals with vitamin companies, nutrition shakes, skincare products, and more.

She works in the makeup business
Well, kind of. In 2018, her daughter, billionaire Kylie Jenner released a Kylie Cosmetics collection devoted to the momager. According to Allure, the collection featured a bunch of items from lipstick to eyeshadow named after some of Jenner’s most classic quotes. Some of the eyeshadow names were “Money Doesn’t Grow on Trees,” and “Your Sister’s Going to Jail,” the latter of which is a classic KUWTK quote.
The following year, Kylie released the “Momager Kit” in honor of her mother. The packaging also had nods to KUWTK, like an eyeshadow palette that says, “You’re doing amazing, sweetie.”
Jenner presumably had a hand in creating the products and worked hard to make sure the collection came out just right.

She does it all
Frankly, Jenner is a jack of all trades. Some might judge the family’s willingness to dabble in so many industries, but the momager has maintained that they really do work hard.
“It doesn’t mean that we’re always looking for more or that we’re greedy,” she told the New York Times. “There’s a lot of people that have great ideas and dreams and whatnot, but unless you’re willing to work really, really hard, and work for what you want, it’s never going to happen. And that’s what’s so great about the girls. It’s all about their work ethic.”
