Following a recent collaboration with UNION TOKYO, Stone Throw brings the focus back to the music by linking up with Roland to release a limited edition SP-404MKII.
The sampler has long been celebrated in the beat-making community for its distinct library of sounds, compact build, and extensive customization options. What’s special about this edition is that it’s preloaded with 10 banks of music from Stones Throw’s roster of artists, including 16 patterns and 16 samples from Sudan Archives, Mndsgn, Kiefer, J. Rocc, and DJ Harrison.
Bypassing the usual silver casing, the sampler also features a custom metallic face plate designed by legendary art director, and Stones Throw co-founder, Jeff Jank. Technical details include 16GB internal storage, a vivid OLED display, 17 velocity-sensitive RGB pads with no-click design, as well as a preloaded sound library with 144 high-quality, professionally recorded samples and patterns. The Stones Throw x Roland SP-404MKII is available to purchase online for $899 USD.
In case you missed it, British tourists could face a ban from Ibiza for anti-social behavior.
