The house in Ollerton, Nottinghamshire, which is being sold by Buckley Brown for £300,000, looks very unassuming from the outside.
However people were shocked to spot that the garage is accessed through a curtain in one of the reception rooms.
From the pictures on Rightmove, a maroon Ford Fiesta can be seen parked in the garage just inches away from the sofa.
One home hunter joked: ‘This house on Rightmove looks quite nice. Until you realise that the garage is in the lounge. I’m sure those toxic fumes will help you relax.’

Besides the bizarre parking spot, the house has a traditional feel about it with exposed ceiling beams in the dining room and a homely kitchen.
There are three decent size bedrooms accessed by a wooden staircase.
And there is also a huge garden with three out-buildings used as an office, workshop and storage.
However many can’t get passed that the garage and sitting room are only separated by a floral curtain.
