Boyfriend is pushing my bulimia recovery towards relapse by calling me 'fatty'

DEAR DEIDRE: BECAUSE I’m not making myself throw up any more, I’ve put on a few pounds.

But that does not stop my boyfriend from making hurtful remarks.

I’m 21 and my partner is 24. We’ve been together for two years.

I’ve suffered from bulimia since I was 13.

I’m three months in recovery but feel I might relapse any second because of my boyfriend.

Last weekend we were at the beach.

As I got changed into my bikini he said: “Wouldn’t you feel more comfortable in a one-piece?”

And his new pet name for me is “fatty” even after I told him I hate it.
