Bride appalled by x-rated wedding dress and says she ‘might as well be naked’

Unless you're heading off for a quick trip to a registry office, weddings can be pretty pricey affairs.

With so much to pay for, it's only natural that couples might want to try and cut the costs as and where they can.

One bride-to-be recently attempted to discover whether she would be able to get married in a budget dress on her big day, instead of splashing the cash on a fancy alternative.

Melbourne-based blogger Tina Yong ordered several gowns from online retailer Wish, a store which has been garnering a lot of attention over recent months.

However when the garments arrived, it's safe to say she was left feeling less than impressed.

Yong goes on to say that everyone would be able to see her underwear in church and that she "might as well be naked walking down the aisle."

The other dresses she tried on in the video, were a lot less revealing, but she did say many of them felt and looked "cheap" – and one of them was even missing a sleeve.

Another one she bought was a $17.99 (£9.87) lace formal dress which had glitter falling off it everywhere and stuck to her skin.

The best of the bunch ended up being the most expensive, a $35.99 (£19.75) vintage-style champagne church wedding gown which she said "had a bit more weight" therefore had to be a bit better quality than the others – not exactly the kind of high praise you'd expect to be giving a wedding dress.

So there you have it folks, Yong's video has taught us some valuable life lessons, namely that you should always make sure to try before you buy and if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
