Inside the Beckhams bond with the Ramsays as David throws support behind Tilly

David Beckham and Gordon Ramsay may seem like an unlikely friendship on paper, but the former footballer and celebrity chef have been best pals for many years.

David and Victoria have been close pals with Gordon and Tana for over 10 years, and all of their children have grown up together.

Gordon and Tana's daughter Tilly is currently competing on Strictly Come Dancing, and both of the famous families have been rooting for her.

The TV chef has proven to be Tilly's biggest fan as he continues to support her and professional partner Nikita on social media, with the Beckhams also now joining in.

Gordon, 54, took to Instagram recently to congratulate the pair on getting through another week, as she shared a snap of Tilly with the caption: "So proud of this one tonight hard work pays off congrats both, thank you for all the support out there @tillyramsay @nikita__kuzmin @bbcstrictly Paso Doble DONE can't wait for next week love ya dad".

Fans were quick to join in the praise, as they gushed over Tilly's dancing skills and pledged their support. However, it was a comment from a certain famous face that had fans talking.

David, 46, wrote: "Congrats @tillyramsay @gordongram @tanaramsay," alongside two red heart emojis. The former footballer had also threw his support behind Tilly, 19, previously, with him wishing her good luck online before her second show.

Also on team Tilly is David and Victoria's 19 year old son Romeo, who has been vocal in his support of his close friend's stint on the BBC show.

The young footballer wrote: "Go on Tilly!" on one her dancing videos, and has consistently ensured he likes all of her snaps from her time on the show.

The Beckhams and Ramsays have all grown up together and are of similar ages, so have remained close pals over the years.

David, and Gordon became friends when Gordon was hired to cater for the Beckham's World Cup party in 2006, and their friendship only grew from there.

Both the Beckhams and the Ramsays relocated to Los Angeles, which led David and Gordon's friendship to become a family affair.

Victoria, 47, and Tana, 47, became close friends after moving to the states, and are regularly spotting hanging out together.

Victoria and David's children Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper have all grown up with Tilly, Megan, Holly, Jack, and Oscar and remain close even as they get older.

The two families are so close that they've even spent Christmas together, and regularly features on each others social media pages.

David and Gordon are that close they even considered going into business together in 2013, with the footballer tempted to invest in one of Gordon's new restaurants.

Ultimately they decided it was better to keep friendship separate from business, with them both wanting different things.
