Jimmy Carr was spotted pushing a pram in London earlier this week, and is said to have revealed he had become a dad during a stand-up show.

The comedian has been in a long term relationship with Karoline Copping for 20 years, and it’s believed their son is around two years old.

Karoline is a commissioning editor for Channel 5 and met Jimmy when he was auditioning to be on a panel show she was working on.

The 46-year-old has since been credited on two of Jimmy's recorded projects: Jimmy Carr Live and Jimmy Carr: In Concert.

Speaking on Desert Island discs, Jimmy joked that he isn’t sure he made the best first impression.

He confessed he saw her writing about how he was a "one-note comedian with the eyes of a sex offender" in her notes.

The couple have been in a relationship since 2001, and were last year spotted pushing a pram nearby where they live.

While neither made the news public, it was rumoured that they had become new parents.

The news was seemingly confirmed when Jimmy, 48, began including material about fatherhood in his latest stand up shows.

The 8 out of 10 Cats host, who has never confirmed having children with his partner of 20 years, appeared to confirm he had a son during a gig at the O2 Academy in Brixton, south London, according to The Sun.

He told fans: "We’re having a gender-reveal party for our kid but we’re going to wait until he’s 21 just to be sure."

The family live together in an £8.5 million home in the Primrose Hill area of North London.

While Karoline and Jimmy prefer to stay out of the limelight they do occasionally appear together on the red carpet.

They were also pictured attending the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank in 2018.
