Francesca Allen talks masturbation urges in Love Island and secret Ovie bond

Francesca Allen may have been one of the later contestants to enter the Love Island villa but she certainly has a lot to say.

The 23-year-old sat down with Daily Star Online to have an exclusive chat following the launch of her new festive fashion range with In The Style .

Francesca spoke candidly about masturbation urges in the villa, rules you couldn't break, her secret relationship with Ovie Soko, growing up poor and of course, her passion of fashion.

Before series five aired, Daily Star Online ran many articles breaking down the Love Island rules including how allegedly contestants couldn't masturbate anywhere in the villa.

And now Francesca, who lives in Essex, has confirmed the rule does exist.

When asked if it’s true if Islanders can’t masturbate in the villa, Francesca responded: "That is a true thing. But I don’t think you’d want to anyways.

"I didn’t have any urges at all in there. Not even to kiss a boy. I’m quite shy when it comes to men."

While none of the Islanders have confessed to having sex in the villa, Francesca said: "It’s really gross when you’re laying in bed and you can just hear everyone kissing."

However, Francesca did grow very close to one male Islander which wasn't shown in the one hour slot viewers got to see every day.

When Francesca first entered the villa it was quite late in the series and she says the girls "took awhile" to warm to her as they "feared she was after their men", but it was knight in shining armour Ovie Soko who made the beauty "feel welcome".

Speaking on how she felt as the 'new girl', Francesca said: "I went in very late and everyone had their little cliques, and I guess they thought I was going in there to steal their man and that’s just not who I am at all.

"But Ovie was my little protector. He made me feel so welcome. Without Ovie I don’t think I would have made it.

"We would talk fashion all the time, he really got it as we both love it so much."

Sadly a romance didn't blossom between the pair, but Francesca did enter with already having a crush on Maura Higgin's man Curtis Pritchard.

While Maura and Curtis weren't yet coupled up, Curtis took a few days to pick between Maura and Francesca before he decided to couple up with grid girl Maura.

Francesca said: "What made it worse for me was when I saw Maura start crying. It was the kind of situation I would have never seen myself in.

"She did tell me that it wasn’t why she was crying and it was more to do with her whole journey and what had gone on.

"She’s a lovely girl, we get on very well now. In there I held back a lot because it’s a strange environment."

Confirming there’s "no one" she doesn't get on with from the villa, the brunette beauty said: "Everyone is great and more themselves since coming out."

On the topic of who she thinks isn't "actually in love" out of the remaining couples, Francesca said she thinks they are "staying strong".

She continued: "I think the last remaining couples are staying strong."

Discussing Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague's relationship, Francesca said: "Tommy is very, I don’t want to use the word simple, but he’s very like straight.

"Whereas Molly’s more bubbly and talks a lot and I think that’s why they work so well together. They’re great together."

Like many of the Islanders, Francesca remains single after starring in the ITV reality dating series and says she has "no love life" at the moment.

Talking about her single status, she said: "There is no love life at the moment really."

Asked if she's on any dating apps, she said: "I’ve never been on any dating apps before but I think it’s something I might look into as obviously I’m at events all the time and by the time it gets to the weekend I don’t really want to go out.

“I’ve had a few famous people and reality stars slide into the DMs but I like to meet people face to face as I think you know instantly if you vibe with them or not.

"I’ve always been in a relationship and at the moment I quite like being alone and now I’m feeling a bit more picky."

Francesca collaborated with In The Style along with co-stars Anna Vakili, Amy Hart, Joanna Chimonides and Yewande Biala.

The girls each created a line for The Power Edit, a festive party season range which is now ready to shop on In The Style.
