'Below Deck': Was Alexis Bellino From 'RHOC' Too High Maintenance?

The season 3 Below Deck crew braced themselves when they learned that Claudia Jordan and Cynthia Baily from The Real Housewives of Atlanta would be their next group of charter guests.

The RHOA cast and friends joined the crew and much to their surprise, the guests were lovely and low key. Real Housewives have a brand of being a little on the high maintenance side, so how did the newest Real Housewife do this season? Alexis Bellino from The Real Housewives of Orange County was a charter guest this season to celebrate her divorce.

Now that some of the crew had a previous experience with two Housewives, they likely hoped Bellino would be as down to earth as Baily and Jordan. Was Bellino high maintenance or was she too busy making out with her new boyfriend to impose too many demands?

Courtney Skippon thinks Bellino was a lot of work

Most of the crew asserted that this was a nice group of charter guests. Courtney Skippon said in the Below Deck After Show that everyone was nice and she enjoyed the charter based on how the guests treated the crew. However, Skippon recalled Bellino having several demands.

“Like on the preference sheet, they were like, ‘We’re going to make you wish we never came on board,’ and then they sort of lived up to that,” Skippon says. “I was truly like … “Skippon makes a hand gesture that showed her running back and forth. “She was like, a mimosa with a shot of vodka in it. She’d take one sip and would be like, ‘Just get me a Bloody Mary,’” Skippon says. “She’d be like get me a vodka on the rocks, get me a margarita. I’m like you truly have a circle of drinks around you. And then there are eight other guests I have to accommodate as well.”

Chief stew Kate Chastain also put Skippon and stew Simone Mashile on service for this charter too. “Maybe she didn’t want to serve Alexis,” Mashile wondered. “They’re the same kinda, the reality people [comparing Bellino and Chastain]. Or maybe she wanted to give me a chance at service? I don’t know, I can’t keep up!”

Chastain thought the guests were low maintenance (but on a publicity tour)

Chastain insists she put Mashile on service to give her an opportunity to serve guests who weren’t as demanding. “These guests are the perfect ones for Simone to do service with because they’re easy-going,” Chastain says. “Alexis is focused on making out with her new boyfriend. She’s not focused on high service.” She adds this was the first group of charter guests with low enough standards to give Mashile a chance to practice serving.

Instead of making demands, Chastain thought Bellino was more engrossed in camera time. “Now she’s here with her boyfriend and this felt like the publicity tour,” Chastain observes. “Get it girl, but it’s a lot.”

Bellino shared on Instagram, “The REAL Stats: 72 total hours on the Valor yacht. 5 minutes total of airtime that you actually see on TV from that 72 hours. 7 seconds of that 72 hours total of kissing recorded. Several excursions and activities and meals and jet skis and naps and pools and FUN that you didn’t see. I’ll be showing THAT footage from the Yacht!!! It was a blast!!! Love the entire crew! #besttripever❤️❤️ (but we are in love so no apologies for our smooches!!!!).”
