Dave Chen-Williams (Dominic Power) continues to spiral out of control in Hollyoaks following Honour’s (Vera Chok) departure, with the courier’s dark side coming to the forefront.
Honour decided to leave the eponymous village earlier this month, after securing a job as a lecturer in London, which she was delighted about after she lost her previous position at the prison.
Wirth marriage woes aplenty following Dave’s revelation that he was still married when they tied knot, Honour decided a clean break would be for the best, resolving to end their relationship and move on to pastures new.
Dave has struggled to come to terms with the end of his marriage, with daughters Lizzie (Lily Best) and Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson) doing their utmost to help him in his time of need.
After giving the kitchen a clean and getting a shower, Dave decided to take the girls up on their advice, seeing the end of his marriage as a chance to put things right, promising them that he would look to the future.
But it appears as though the character could be set to embark on something of a dark new storyline, as he continues to pester Honour with disturbing text messages, implying that she walked out on her family.
Honour responded by urging Dave leave her alone, but the courier ignored his ex’s wishes, telling her that he wished he’d ‘never laid eyes’ on her.
Dave was introduced as what you might’ve thought to be the ideal family man and patriarch, but as time went on, it became more and more evident that he’s not quite the man he claims to be.

The character’s words are often misogynistic, with Dave himself even recognising that his comments in the past may have played a role in Mason (Frank Kauer) being groomed by incel and misogynist Eric Foster (Angus Castle-Doughty).
Is Dave, who you might say is an untapped character in terms of potential, set to show just who he truly is after all this time? Is this the beginning of a dark storyline for the character as he descends into villainy?
Dominic Power is certainly capable of portraying such devilishness, having thrived on Emmerdale as villainous Cameron, so he’s certainly up to the challenge if this proves to be the case.
Hollyoaks continues Wednesday April 19 at 7pm on E4 or stream the next episode from midnight on All4.
