Hollyoaks star teases epic return to Channel 4 soap as she talks career U-turn

Hollyoaks star Caroline Koziol has teased her potential return as Katja.

Fans of the Channel 4 soap were first introduced to the mysterious character in March last year after she dropped off laptops which Brad King (Tom Benedict Knight), Felix Westwood (Richard Blackwood) and Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) planned to steal.

However, things didn't go to plan and Katja ended up knocking down Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson) while attempting to escape Warren's grasp.

She was last seen in the village In December and Caroline, 28, has teased that Katja could be heading back in the near feature.

The Polish actress told Daily Star: "I can't say much right now unfortunately but it was amazing because Hollyoaks created an Eastern European character that was so strong and powerful, it wasn't a steroptype.

"The people I met on set have become friends for life. I was worried that people would question my accent and wouldn't really accept me but it was like a family and I found them extremely welcoming and amazing."

Caroline, who also has appeared in Line of Duty and Tracey Breaks The News, has recently co-created a comedy with her best friend Juliet Valentine.

Inka tells the tale of an Eastern European girl arriving in the UK and the challenges she's faced with while starting afresh in a foreign country.

Juliet and Caroline, who stars in the series, have created a billboard in Central London in their quest to find the a producer to get their show on television screens across the globe.

She explained: "Creating a slapstick comedy has been a dream of mine and Juliet's for many years.

"Slapstick comedy is seen as very masculine with a lack of Eastern European representation and this production aims to change that.

"We started creating Inka three of four years before but it was never a slapstick comedy.

"Me and Juliet travel a lot and my facial expressions would make people laugh so we thought let's use it in a meaningful way and create something.

"I think our region hasn't been recognised much in Western cinema so there's a gap in the market for it.

"Inka doesn't require you to speak English and is universal like Charlie Chaplin and Mr Bean."

Despite having a taste of life behind the screen, Caroline confirmed that she plans to continue working in front of the camera.

She said: "I still want to be on screen and you never know whats around the corner, but I would consider writing and directing in the future but for now i'd like to gain more experience."
