HOMES Under The Hammer star Martin Roberts has been left devastated after his beloved dog died at the age of 14.
The 57-year-old TV presenter had no choice but to have Golden Retriever Mylo put to sleep after the pup suffered two strokes.
Martin paid touching tribute to his pet on Twitter today – admitting to followers that he is "heartbroken".
He wrote: "Such an unbearably sad day. Mylo, my 14 year old Golden Retriever has recently suffered two strokes, and on the advice of the vet he’s just been put to sleep.
"If you’ve ever lost a pet you’ll know how I feel right now. Heartbroken ?".
The property expert added: "Rest in peace my faithful friend."
Martin also shared a photo of the handsome pooch posing on an empty beach while covered in sand.
Mylo looks happy in the snap having seemingly just played in the ocean.
Grieving Martin was inundated with supportive comments from fans who sent him their love at this difficult time.
One suggested the star got a painting done of Mylo in his memory, which Martin said was a "great idea".
Another wrote: "So sorry to hear this, sending love. It’s so heartbreaking, they are part of the family – he’ll be running around on rainbow bridge".
A third shared: "I’m so so sorry for you and Mylo. I do know how you feel and your memories will be happy ones, one day I promise."
One more wrote: "This is heartbreaking, he looks a great dog and you'll have many great memories", to which Martin replied: "Thank you. Feel pretty low right now."
Martin has co-hosted long-running auction show Homes Under The Hammer since its debut in 2003.
He also appeared in the 2016 series of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, spending 14 days in the jungle before leaving a double elimination alongside Wayne Bridge.
