Ella Richardson (Erin Palmer) makes it her mission to find out who her biological father is in Hollyoaks next week, with her investigation leading her to believe that he’s someone who lives in the village.
The teen, who is daughter to Mandy (Sarah Jayne Dunn), has been unable to stop thinking about her finding her father since the topic was raised during a discussion with Charlie Dean (Charlie Behan) earlier this year.
With very little information to go on, other than the fact that her father was a man named Mark, Ella sent a strongly-worded message to the man in question, who later got in touch to reveal that he wasn’t actually her dad, explaining that Mandy had asked him to go along with the lie.
Charlie, meanwhile, who recently discovered that own father Justin Burton (Chris Fountain) had tragically died, gets wind of Ella’s plot to find out who her dad is in upcoming scenes, and it’s safe to say that he’s not all that supportive of the idea.
Darren Osborne (Ashley Taylor Dawson), however, is on hand to offer her some advice, suggesting that Ella speak to Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard), given that the pub landlord was in a relationship with Mandy prior to her off-screen romance with this Mark, so he might be able to shed some light.
Ella, however, starts to wonder if Tony might actually be her father!
Relaying her suspicions to Charlie, Ella grows more and more convinced, but Charlie reckons she needs more proof before she says anything. Ella, however, decides to speak to Beau Ramsey (Jon-Paul Bell) instead and, in a panic, she blurts out that he’s her brother!
Beau is taken aback by such a claim, but listens as Ella explains her reasons for believing Tony could be her father, but the teacher, much like Charlie, states that she’d need evidence to prove it.
Tony, however, overhears the conversation, with Ella left with little choice but to spill her theory.

Tony is stunned, but wastes little time in doing everything he can to provide Ella with the answers she needs, going back through his past to find a letter from ex-wife Mandy, around the time that Ella had been born.
But will this prove or dispel Ella’s theory?
