Piers Morgan is pretty much the face of the talk show and hosts alongside Susanna Reid and Charlotte Hawkins however, a recent tweet of his has suggested his future will be “up for debate” once his contract ends.
Piers Morgan’s outspoken views often divides viewers with his most recent rant was last week when he declared he identified himself as a penguin in a debate about gender.
This recently led to a petition being started to get him dropped from the popular ITV show.
The 54-year old took to Twitter to tease his exit as he revealed that his contract expires on the final day of 2019.
In an earlier tweet, he wrote: “UPDATE: On tomorrow’s @GMB, we will be debating whether I should be fired.”

A counter petition then started debating to keep him on the show and Piers decided to update followers on the number of signatures he had.
Posting a picture of a chirpy penguin, he tweeted: “BREAKING NEWS: The petition to #savePiers has reached 10,000 signatures & just overtaken the petition to have me fired. Took just 3hrs.See you on @GMB tomorrow & thank you, my p-p-p-p-people!”
A fan asked if he’d get paid for the rest of the term for his contract like a footballer if he was fired, he responded: ““Yes, but my contract runs out on Dec31 anyway..”
His most recent update today said that 28,000 people have signed to keep him on the show.
Piers then posted a picture of himself sick, as he tweeted: “Day four of severe man-flu.
“But don’t worry, I’ll be manning up at my @GMB work station from 6am tomorrow.”
Thankfully, Piers was back on fine form for his duties this morning.
He was joined by former footballer Vinnie Jones who talked about his heartbreak over losing his wife Tanya to cancer.
Vinnie shared an emotional interview as he spoke about a letter he received from his late wife.
The letter signed to Vinnie told him not to not “grieve” because they would reunite again.
He recalled the message which read: “She said, ‘I will be waiting for you’, and I believe that, I really believe that.”
The star opened up about Tanya’s journey of finding out she had cancer and how she coped.

Talking about painkillers after finding out she didn’t have long left, he added: “She was in a lot of pain, Piers.
“She’d had six years of this tumour cracking her ribs and then it went to her lungs.
“It was Christmas Eve when they said they’d found some spots on her brain.”
The ex footballer’s emotional interview was the talk of the show as kind messages flooded Good Morning Britain’s Twitter page.
