KATIE Price's son Harvey "stopped breathing" after a nightmare burns accident that saw him rushed into A&E.
The former glamour model first recalled the horrifying moment she found Harvey on writhing in pain on her bed during a 2017 appearance on Loose Women.
At the time, the 43-year-old explained that the incident happened after she returned home from a horse ride on New Year's Eve in 2006 to find her eldest in agony after he had gone into her bathroom and turned on the hot tap.
Katie, who was then three-months pregnant with daughter Princess, said that she proceeded to take off his trousers to find "skin and blood everywhere".
She said: "He had made it to my bathroom, turned on the hot tap and burned his leg very badly. He was screaming in pain.
“He was on the bed with his clothes on and I took his trousers off, which I know now not to do.
“There was skin and blood everywhere, and he kept gouging at his wounds. He can also die from stress, he has to have an emergency injection," Katie added at the time.
"The first thing I did was call the ambulance but I made sure I was calm and collected – if I wasn’t then it would have been awful.
“I could hear him screaming, but at the same time I knew I had to get info over calmly so the ambulance knew what had happened, and that really helped."
However, Katie never revealed how bad things truly got for Harvey until now and admitted that the teen stopped breathing while the ambulance rushed him to hospital.
In a new excerpt from her book, Harvey And Me, published by The Mirror, she penned: "The paramedics gave Harvey his injection and then rushed him to hospital. I travelled in the ambulance with him and it was the journey from hell.
"Harvey just didn’t seem with it at all – and I became more and more frightened. At one point, it looked like Harvey wasn’t breathing.
"It must have only been a couple of seconds, but in those seconds, I really thought I was losing my son. I was around three months pregnant with Princess at this point, so I was also worried about what the stress would do to the baby."
Following the incident, Harvey was in hospital for three months but made a full recovery while Katie went on to welcome her second child Princess with ex Peter safely.
Not only does Katie's new book shed light on Harvey's health but she also opened up about her split from Peter Andre.
Pete helped to raise Harvey during the couple's four-year marriage after the teenager's biological dad Dwight Yorke abandoned him as a baby.
But Katie says when they split in 2009 it had a huge impact on Harvey, who has Prader-Willi Syndrome, autism and blindness, and admitted he was left "upset" by their divorce.
