Lucifer fans have been treated to good news after good news recently when not only was the season five release date announced, but Netflix renewed the series for a sixth and “final, final, final” run. This means the likes of Lucifer Morningstar (played by Tom Ellis) and Chloe Decker (Lauren German) will likely be back for another two seasons despite the fifth time out initially billed as its last. One character fans will also be happy to see more of is Trixie Espinoza (Scarlett Estevez) and it looks like plenty of action could be heading the youngster’s way.
Trixie has been a mainstay in the Lucifer universe ever since the series pilot aired on Fox.
The daughter of Chloe Decker and detective Dan Espinoza (Kevin Alejandro), Trixie’s confident and bubbly demeanour has endeared her to fans for years now.
And while she may have had some close shaves with death herself, only to be saved by Eve (Inbar Lavi), Trixie has lived to bring joy to another day in season five.
The new season looks like it will bring plenty of drama to the youngster as showrunner Henderson explains.

Speaking to AssignmentX, Henderson was asked whether Lucifer would address Trixie growing up considering the time it takes between filming.
Henderson replied: “What’s nice is, we’ve always let a little bit of a sliding timeline happen.
“Months pass as Linda gives birth, months pass as Lucifer’s away.
“We’ve always tried to keep up with it, with her aging, so that it is a natural part,”
He then went on to hint at how Trixie’s storyline could play out.
“But in our final [fifth] season, one of the questions is going to be, where do we want to set Trixie up for the future,” he added.
The Lucifer showrunner continued: “Especially now that she is growing up, and becoming more of a human being?
“By the way, Scarlett is so good, and so amazing, and I think one of the fun things is going to be highlighting that a little bit more in our last season.”

What exact drama will find its way into the youngster’s life, however, remains to be seen.
