Piers Morgan threatened to have a member of the production team sacked from Good Morning Britain on Monday morning.
The broadcaster failed to see the funny side when his name was spelt incorrectly when a mock film billboard was shown on screen for a parody of saucy movie Fifty Shades of Grey.
As Andi Peters boasted that he, Piers and Susanna Reid were off to Hollywood to attend the Oscars next week he unveiled a number of funny film adverts that saw big stars switched for the GMB hosts.
He showed off a still for a joke blockbuster named 'Fifty Shades of Peirs' and Piers was fast to notice the epic blunder of his name being spelt wrong.
Piers yelped in disapproval: "Whoever did that graphic behind you has spelt my name wrong is going to be fired!
"My name is not spelt like that!"
As Susanna and Andie struggled to contain their laughter at the mistake, Piers continued: "Do they not remember if you get Piers’ name wrong you get fired?"
Earlier on in the show Piers weighed in after last night's The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) awards have been slated for lack of diversity with its nominees and winners.
Piers took aim at the Australian beauty, 29, after she was given two nominations in the Best Supporting Actress Category- yet no women of colour were up for a gong.
The outspoke journalist said the Wolf Of Wall Street star is a 'talented' and 'glamorous' actress yet she has not given 'the worlds greatest performances' and that some 'black actress' didn't get a look in.'
He said during the morning show: "Margot Robbie was nominated twice in the Best Supporting Actress.
"I have watched both the films she is in, one is Bombshell I think and the other one the Hollywood thing with Brad Pitt.
"She is perfectly OK in both the films these aren’t the worlds greatest performances!
"You don’t come away thinking wow Margot Robbie, I think she is a very good actress, very glamorous and everything else and very talented but however these are not seminal acting parts she is getting nominated for and yet there were some black actresses like Lupita Nyong'o who did not get a look in!"
