With the Quickstep lying ahead for the pair in Halloween Week on Saturday, Strictly Come Dancing duo John Whaite and Johannes Radebe joined Janette Manrara on Wednesday’s It Takes Two to discuss how training is going. The pair impressed the BBC show’s judges with their Charleston last week, racking up a near-perfect score of 38, so the pressure is on to try and get a perfect score of 40 from the likes of Shirley Ballas and co this weekend. And one fan who’ll undoubtedly be cheering them on is seven-year-old Con who sent in a video message for the pair to show his support.
The moment came after John had opened up about his feelings doing Strictly having been a fan himself since a young age.
Janette then interjected: “We have the most gorgeous message for you from your biggest fan ever.
“This is seven-year-old Kaan, you need to see this,” Janette added as John replied: “Awww.”
Moments later, the young Strictly fan popped up on-screen to send John and Johannes his support.
“Hi John and Johannes,” Kaan began. “You’re my favourite couple because you’re so talented and you have so much fun.
“Good luck on Saturday,” the youngster signed off as the cameras returned to the It Takes Two studio.
“Thank you, baby,” John replied while Johannes held his hands to his face before applauding the kinds words.
Joining in with the applause, Janette began clapping before adding: “How nice is that?”
“How does it make you feel when you see a gorgeous message like that?” the It Takes Two host asked.
Struggling to get his words out, an emotional John replied: “It’s – it’s what we need, isn’t it?”
And a tearful Johannes agreed: “People were like, ‘Stop crying, Johannes’.
“But it does, it just makes me well up,” the tearful Strictly pro admitted. “It’s beautiful.”

With Kaan’s words of support ringing in their ears, John and Johannes will undoubtedly be pulling out all the stops to try and top the leaderboard for Halloween Week.
To try and do so, the Bake Off star and his pro partner are taking on the Quicksteps to Bad Moon Rising by Creedence Clearwater Revival.
Discussing the difficulties with the routine as a result of John’s height, Johannes revealed: “(He’s a) tall boy, and this is the thing,
“We discovered today in practice, as you can see there – but once again, my partner, you’ve just got to throw yourself into it.”
John weighed in: “The hold is the hard thing for me because I’m doing the traditionally female role a lot,
“So to have that bent, the bent to one side…” John began to explain as he held onto his ribs. “It’s painful.”
But will John and Johannes be able to put the difficulties to one side to soar to the top of the Strictly leaderboard once more?
And with EastEnders’ Rose Ayling-Ellis and TV presenter AJ Odudu continuing to impress, John may have stiff competition for the number one slot.
