Supernanny Jo Frost 'kicked out' from family homes during filming

Supernanny Jo Frost has revealed she was kicked out several times from family homes during filming for her new series.

The television personality joined Christine Lampard on today’s episode of Lorraine where she discussed the difficulties she faced while helping parents with difficult children.

‘It was a journey with respect to travelling around America and helping these families because it wasn’t always easy,’ Jo began.

‘I can think of several times I was actually kicked out of the house. They didn’t want me there. They got very hostile and aggressive and asked me to leave.

‘The truth can be very painful for a lot of families, yet it does set you free if you can surrender to the process.’

Yikes.

The new series of Supernanny lands on E4 tonight and will feature tweenagers, families who’ve moved to a different place, and families with parents on the frontline.

Jo last graced UK screens back in 2008 when the final episode of the hit show aired.

The US version continued until 2011, with the nanny gifting her nifty childcare tips and tricks with American families struggling to parent their kids.

‘We’re looking at families who have older children as well now,’ Jo said of the new episodes.

‘If you think about the first run of Supernanny, predominantly, it dealt with young children whose behavior was naughty.

‘The Supernanny that you’re going to see is about the whole family, with kids of all different types of ages.’

She continued to Good Housekeeping: ‘We’re addressing not just behavior that has spiraled out of control. We’re really taking a look at real families, and looking at the issues that they face every day.’

And no doubt, Jo will have her work cut out.

Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV.
