Ted Lasso: Annette Badland says no season 4 – but hints at a movie
Hit AppleTV+ sports drama Ted Lasso returned to screens last month with its highly anticipated third season.
While the future of the series remains to be determined, viewers have continued to tune in to see more from Ted Lasso (played by Jason Sudeikis) and his team.
During the most recent episode titled Sunflowers, they all headed to Amsterdam for some well-deserved relaxation.
However, while the crew enjoyed the city, a local man left Rebecca Welton’s (Hannah Waddingham) pulse racing after an unexpected encounter.
As the AFC Richmond coach worked on new tactics for the team, Rebecca accidentally dove into a canal.
Thankfully, an unidentified gentleman (Matteo van der Grijn) came to her rescue as he plunged straight into the water after her.
Although she was initially hesitant, the rescuer then took her to his houseboat to dry off and they later enjoy an evening of drinking and dancing.
The man seemingly swept Rebecca off her feet as she stayed the night and gave him a passionate kiss before reuniting with the football team.
While fans were pleased to see some potential romance on the cards for the football club owner, viewers were even more thrilled to see the actor praise Waddingham on Instagram.

Matteo van der Grijn shared a photo taken from his character’s intimate scene with Rebecca and paid a sweet tribute to his co-star in the caption.

Viewers took to his comments with excitement and hoped to see more of his character in future episodes.
