Last night the first installment of The Bachelorette’s two-part finale took place. Peter Weber was let go in an emotional breakup and reunited with Hannah Brown in the hot seat in front of a studio audience. The two said they’d always care about each other and reminisced about their romp in the windmill (updated to four times now!).
Then, we got to see the remaining two contestants, Tyler Cameron and Jed Wyatt, meet Brown’s family. From what the audience saw, Cameron definitely had the more successful meeting. Both Brown’s parents were wary of Wyatt’s music career–they felt it lacked stability.
Why it looks like Hannah Brown gives her final rose to Jed Wyatt
The first clue that Wyatt is the clear front runner is that Brown was so open and candid with him about her feelings regarding Cameron.
“With Tyler, this has been developing for a while, and yesterday went really, really well. He was just very straightforward about how he felt about me and everything. And I think I’m now confused,” Brown told Wyatt. “F*** me! This is why you don’t date two people at the same time! I just want to make sure I’m really seeing a clear vision of everything.”

The fact that Brown feels comfortable enough with Wyatt to discuss her feelings about another contestant is pretty telling. She didn’t have any conversations like that with Cameron.
She also seems to be more herself with Wyatt. Her relationship with him has progressed further than hers with Cameron–there’s a chance she and Cameron could get there, but they’re not there yet.
Why was Hannah Brown so emotional at the end of part one of the finale?
Hannah Brown’s emotional sign-off at the end of the first night of the finale also hinted at the fact that she may end up with Wyatt. By now, it’s obvious that Brown doesn’t get the fairytale happy ending that she hoped for. Chris Harrison keeps teasing Brown’s dreams of love crashing and burning and when Brown’s given interviews about her ending, she talks more about surviving everything than finding love.
“Were there moments that were hard for me? Absolutely. Was this journey what I expected it to be? Absolutely not. But sitting here now I can say that I’m so happy for everything that’s happened and came out the other side alive and stronger,” she said in an interview with Extra TV just after filming the finale.

We all know about Wyatt’s ex-girlfriend drama. According to Haley Stevens, Wyatt went on the show while they were still together and always intended to return to her when filming was over. Stevens says Wyatt went on The Bachelorette with the sole purpose of promoting his music. It was also alleged that Wyatt had cheated on Stevens while they were together, before he left for Los Angeles.
“The past couple of months have been really tough and emotional. I know there are a lot of rumors out there. Honestly, tomorrow night, I have a lot of questions that need to be answered,” Brown said before last night’s episode ended.
Unless she chose Cameron and some unforeseen drama occurred, signs point to the fact that she likely chose Wyatt.
