This Morning has been hit by 120 Ofcom complaints, the TV watchdog has confirmed, with 93 relating to a debate over the vaccine.

The complaints stemmed from a segment on May 31 featuring guest Beverley Turner, who spoke out against the coronavirus vaccine on the show.

Beverley and Matthew Bright appeared on the show alongside hosts Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond, debating the latest in current affairs.

When the conversation turned to the Covid jab, it was clear they didn't see eye to eye, as Beverley slammed the vaccine live on the show.

Beverley claimed: "It does not stop you catching or passing on the virus."

Dermot hit back that it "does," before adding: "The finest minds of science have – in an extraordinarily short amount of time – come up with this vaccine.

"It's proven it's working, statistically."

Ofcom confirmed Beverley's comments received 53 complaints, while remarks made by Dermot and Matthew were hit by 27 complaints.

13 viewers contacted the watchdog to take issue with comments made by Alison in regards to the vaccine.

Elsewhere, This Morning's coverage of Boris Johnson and Carrie Symonds' wedding, which took place over the weekend, received 27 individual complaints.
